Paul Multhaupt industrialist, collector and first patron of Anton Räderscheidt in the working period of the "New Realism". The previous managing director (1909-1931) of the Schloemann AG - today SMS Schloemann-Siemag AG Düsseldorf - has been a patron of passion and carried together a great collection with works of Heckel, Beckmann, Nolde, Klee, Chagall, Campendonk, Räderscheidt, Vlaminck, Kirchner, the photographer Albert Renger-Patzsch and many artists that were still unknown in these days. A visionary of art.
The collection was shown 1933 in the art gallery Flechtheim in Düsseldorf and is missing ever since.
Paul Multhaupt committed suicide 4 weeks before his collection was presented.
